It's a New Day...

Jumped up and turned on CNN this morning.
Had to make sure that Barack Obama is REALLY the President!
And he is!
I slept so well last night.
And I woke up with this ridiculous grin.
It seems like the sun is brighter.
I can hear the birds chirping in the hood.
Strangers are smiling at each other and giving one another a pound.
I even danced with a security guard at the bank.
The great thing about it all is that noone is even saying anything.
We all just KNOW what it is!
Ran into a McCain supporter at the post office this morning. (I knew by the stickers on her car.)
She looked at me. (I, too, had stickers on my car.)
I looked at her.
And I couldn't help but grin.
I wasn't being fecicious.
I was just elated!
I'm not sure that she was too happy.
It could just be me reading into things.
But I still wanted to tell her that everything is good.
That the sky is the limit.
That this is a great thing.
That America looks so fly around the world right now.
We finally look like we've caught on...like we get it.
I wanted to tell her to smile
cause it's a new day.
