Heeeeeere's.....Wendy!

The thing is you either like Wendy Williams or you don't.
There is no gray area.
Since I've always had an appetite for nonsense and straight craziness,
I dig Wendy.
Being born and raised in the Tri-State area,
I grew up listening to Hot 97 and WBLS on the radio.
So I'm accustomed to her raunchy, and sometimes over the top style.

The Wendy Williams show premiered July 14th
in 4 states for a 6 week test run.
And I have to say that I LOVE IT! LOVE IT! LOVE IT!
It's Ricki Lake
and Ellen
and Donahue all rolled into one.
It's radio on television.
It's a good look.

Unlike countless others, Wendy's not a celeb turned radio DJ.
She's the real thing.
Born and raised in New Jersey,
Williams attended Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts
where she majored in communications and was a DJ for the college station WRBB 104.9 FM. She's worked for several radio stations throughout her career even home to the legendary Dewey Hughes and Petey Greene... WOL-AM in DC.

After leaving DC she moved to New York .
She is currently hosting her now syndicated show
'The Wendy Williams Experience' at 107.5 WBLS.
She's has a column in Life & Style magazine.
She's written several books...won some awards,
and now she's been blessed with a talk show.
Wendy is doin' it!

Watching the show is like having lunch with your girlfriend.
She's loud, hilarious and she's giving it to you straight.
She's says what you're thinking.
Her honesty is more than admirable.
How many celebrities would openly discuss their
plastic surgeries, 'flappy underarms' and weaves regularly?
I tivo the show.
And every night I get something tasty
and sit down in front of the set to luxuriate with Wendy.
I wait in anticipation to see what she'll be wearing.
Who she's going to talk about that day.
Where she's going to pull that secret note from.
And how many minutes we have until break.

Wendy's relationship with her audience sets her apart from the rest.
They are an integral part of the show and they serve as her co-hosts.
And every show a different audience member introduces her.
During the 'Ask Wendy' segment of the show they get to ask her
questions about anything.
She often compliments them on their clothes and their hair and
allows them to participate in the show's fashion segments.
And sometimes gives them really sweet gifts.
Her audience loves her and she knows it.
People have called Wendy many things.
But they can't call her lazy.
Whether you like her or not,
You must respect her grind.
Prayerfully, the Wendy Williams Show will get picked up.
And if it does,
Tyra, had better watch her back!
Cause Wendy's got the heat.
How YOU doin?
